Alas, the dream was over for Marla Maples and Tony Dovolani. The two didn’t deserve to go home-but in all honesty, they were dancing on borrowed time considering their level of competition. Doug Flutie was declared safe earlier in the show, and though he’s had some of the lowest scores this season, he’s also shown so much growth and personality (especially after Most Memorable Week). Marla on the other hand-with her perfectly sculpted body and flowing hair-couldn’t quite crack the personality code that DWTS audiences crave. Next week, there will be no elimination because it’s switch-up week, which means that two weeks from tonight will be one of this season’s most interesting. Is Jodie Sweetin (who’s been in jeopardy the last two weeks) really among the bottom? Or is someone else in jeopardy? While we ponder those hard-pressed questions, let’s get to the dances and who charmed the pants off of us.
