Artist Profile Kim Tibbs

Artist Profile Kim TibbsOver the years, we have seen a long list of U.K. based female vocalists have success in the United States.  Most recently, Adele, Leona Lewis, Joss Stone, and the late Amy Winehouse are names that immediately come to mind.

Especially with the soul singers, the music has a distinct sound.  They rely heavily on live instrumentation, where you will notice that organs and horns make up the backbone of the sound.

You know how I feel about those horns.

Originally from the US, Kim Tibbs is currently tearing it up in the UK.   She is an arranger, B-3 organist, keyboardist, lyricist, pianist, producer, and songwriter.

Tibbs currently has four songs in heavy rotation in several countries, including two number one singles.

I Need You For Your Love reached the top of the UK Soul Chart for four weeks.

The song Soul also reached the top of the UK Soul Chart.  This one is definitely for the clubs.

I have heard a few other tracks, and I must say that the grooves are really tight.

Tibbs is currently performing in the Metro London Area, so if you happen to be across the pond you will need to attend a show.

Kim is also endorsed by some of the major players in fashion and entertainment.  Hammond Organ USA, Roland US, and M.A.C. Cosmetics are just of the few companies that recognize the talent of this artist.

Tibbs is currently working on an album, so we will keep you up to date with release information.
